Fast SEO For Articles And Blogs
SEO is a very important part of establishing an online presence. Unfortunately, most people don't really understand how it works and they either don't use enough keywords or they stuff their pages with them and end up getting penalized. The search engines can be very good sources of traffic, but only when websites are properly optimized.
Search engine optimization is actually fairly simple. As long as one has the right keywords, careful optimization will ensure higher rankings.
The keywords are the toughest part of this process. They need to be hot words that people are searching for on Google, but with very little competition. The fewer competitive sites, the better . . . But it is still necessary to have a high number of searches. This can be difficult to find and is something that can be learned through repeated practice.

Fortunately, there are several free tools online to help discover the best keywords. They should have less than 50,000 competitive sites, preferably much less, and at least 100 searches. It's vital that there are plenty of searches per day, because without visitors, the website will go nowhere.
Once the keywords have been selected, it's time to use them in articles and blog posts. Whether these are for the website or for another site, the technique is the same. There should be only a handful of keywords per article with one being the main keyword that the article or post is focused around.
As an example, the main keyword might be "cell phone face", while the next words would be "Cellular" and "signal". The primary keyword or phrase would be used just a bit more than the others in the content.
The primary keyword, in some cases the only one, must be used in the headline or title of the article. This is very important since the search engines give this more importance. The best way to use it is early in the title. For example, "Blue Moon: What You Need to Know", which will ensure that the keyword is picked up, even if there is a character limit.
Finally, all keywords need to be used in the first paragraph. The last paragraph is also quite important and for longer articles which are over 200 words, it's best to use the keywords at least once in the center of the text, as well. Most people aim for 1-2% keyword density or the number of times a keyword is used per 100 words. Anything more than this and you risk being penalized. The keyword phrases need to blend into the article and not sound forced.
Add an extra SEO point to the text by using bold or italics for the primary keywords in the first paragraph. This can really help the search spiders find keywords and give them a bit more weight. Any articles that will be submitted to directories should use the same keywords in the bio box. In fact, another way to increase the power is to use them as anchor text for links back to the website.
