E Cigarettes Vs. Real Cigarettes
The WHO, the World Health Organization, has gone on record as saying that they're, to put it simply, "not so sure" about e cigarettes. It seems like these personal vaporizers are a great alternative to smoking, so why is the WHO so skeptical? Well… Electronic smokes CAN be used to quit smoking, but their primary purpose for many is to inhale nicotine in a safer way than smoking a cigarette, and the WHO is simply not going to sign on to recreational drug use.
Of course, whether or not the World Health Organization will sign on… That doesn't really have any effect on whether or not the electronic cigarette is, in fact, better for you than traditional paper-and-tobacco cigarettes. ECigarette makers can't advertise their products as being WHO-Approved, but there are, nevertheless, advantages over the traditional smoke…
Vapor is Not Smoke

The problem with smoking is that it's SMOKING. Nicotine does have some of its own side effects, but if you start using vapor instead of smoke, you'll find that you have more energy, you won't be coughing as much, and you'll feel just plain better almost immediately. Some people try to quit with lozenges, patches or gums and wind up just getting hooked on those without the fun of being able to feel like they're smoking, so the vaporizer can really help.
It Smells Better
Most vaporizer cartridges actually contain some sort of flavor that makes the whole process a little more pleasant. People tend to hate the smell of tobacco, but the smell of cherry flavored vapor, or chocolate cartridges isn't so bad in comparison. If you still like the flavor of tobacco, many cartridges are flavored with a little bit of that, too.
It Feels Just Like Smoking
For most of us smokers, the cigarette is something like fifty percent chemical addiction, fifty percent emotional addiction. When things are rocky with our partners, we can turn to our little buddies in the small cardboard box to make things feel a little better. When we get fired, a car breaks down or we're just plain stressed out, we pick up that little stick and twirl it in our hands and puff on it and we have a friend in hand even if everything else in life is going to the dogs. Putting down cigarettes feels like giving up an old friend. Obviously, this is what we SHOULD do, but most of us can't, and very few people ever manage to really quit smoking. As these vaporizers are built to look and feel just like real cigarettes, you get all the emotional benefits of smoking with far fewer of the negative side effects.
Reduced Risk of Cancer
Okay, you can get cancer anywhere these days, but what really does it to you with cigarettes is the smoke, not the nicotine. No smoke, no cancer (or at least, no cancer from your nicotine habit). The nicotine has its own health risks, for example, it does constrict the arteries and affect blood flow, but, the main worry with smoking is cancer: Lung cancer, throat cancer, etc. Without the smoking factored in, there is far less worry of cancer.
