A Weight Loss Plan Is A Must
You need a weight loss plan if you want to drop those extra pounds. If you do not have a plan, you will not be able to keep track of your progress and you will not be able to hold yourself accountable.
Almost everyone needs to lose weight. Excess weight has been associated with many health problems such as heart disease and diabetes. So it is wise for you to take steps to lose those extra pounds. Without a plan in place however, you will simply go back to the lifestyle that caused you to gain weight in the first place.
The plan does not need to be complicated. In fact the simple weight plans are the best especially when you are just starting out on your weight loss quest. Use a straight forward plan and you will do fine in the beginning.

It is best to use a month long plan. This will give you more flexibility and allow for more ups and downs in your overall schedule. You need to first decide how much weight you want to lose this month. Make it easy and start off with one pound. There is nothing wrong with starting out with a small goal.
It is all right to choose to lose only one pound a month, especially if you are starting out with your new plan. You will find it is easier to lose one pound in the beginning and you will also have a reason to celebrate at the end of the month when you have lost that one pound.
Include in your plan what you will eat and will not eat this month. If you like to eat fast food and you eat this type of food three or four times a week, then plan to cut that amount in half. Some people will try to eliminate all foods from their plan that lead to excess weight gain. But if you like eating fast food, or are in the habit of eating this type of food, then if you simply try to avoid it all together your plan will fail.
You might try to cut it out altogether this month, but this will lead to failure. You cannot simply cut out the foods you enjoy and expect to be successful. You will ultimately, go back to fast food and ruin your plan. Instead reduce the amount of times you eat meals that you know are not conducive to your weight loss goals. You are, after all, only planning to drop one pound this month. You can still eat the foods you enjoy and make that goal.
Plan an exercise routine this month. But it need not be anything complicated. Like your meal plan, keep it attainable. If all you do is walk around the block twice a week this month, you are at least adding exercise to your plan. You can increase your exercise routine with your next plan if you like.
The idea is to have a weight loss plan you can stay with. You will plan this month to lose one pound. Next month you can plan to lose one pound or maybe two pounds if you feel ambitious. The main idea however, is to have a plan in place to keep you on track. You are well on your way to reaching your desired weight.
