The vitamins said to be beneficial for the skin are E, C, A, K and vitamin B complex. Vitamins C and E are responsible for protecting the skin from the sun's rays, environment pollution and free radicals. The signs of aging, acne marks, and psoriasis are reduced with eating foods that are rich in vitamin A. Skin bruises and scratches and dark circles underneath the eyes are treated with Vitamin K. And B complex hydrates the skin preventing skin dryness and making it glow at the same time.

Another good source for achieving healthy skin is eating fishes. Fishes are high in omega 3 and fatty acids that are naturally good for the body and skin, one of its roles in the skin is to prevent inflammation. The oils in fishes are very nourishing to the skin. Another food nourishing for the skin is whole grains as these are high in antioxidants which are anti-aging leaving the skin younger looking and healthier. Whole grains also contain fiber that is that are helpful in cleansing the body completely.
These and more types of foods are found to be good for the skin; those presented earlier are just few of the wide varieties of foods that one can benefit from. A healthy skin in general means having a healthy body as well, therefore to care for the skin one also needs to care for the body inside and out.
