Dietary Supplements For Toned Arms

The supplement industry is highly unregulated. So unregulated that the majority of supplements simply do not work.

To make matters worse, too many women keep the industry alive by spending money on nothing more than sugar pills. In all fairness, however, there are some supplements that do work and can really help in specific situations.

And having knowledge about ineffective supplements is beneficial so that you don't fall into the buying traps.

Thus, here are some supplements to avoid when trying to get toned arms:

1. Aminos. Fitness buffs love amino acids. In fact, some of the more hardcore bodybuilders will constantly eat them every hour to optimize muscle growth. Unfortunately, amino acids compete for absorption in your body. So taking them in high quantities is NOT a good idea.

2. Energy bombs. I'm referring to the myriad formulations of caffeine in the liquid and pill form. The problem with taking so much caffeine is that it can stress many different systems in your body. The best approach is to use these only when absolutely necessary, not on a regular basis.

3. Meal replacements. This term is an oxymoron since a packet of powder can never replace a meal in its nutritional entirety. There are simply way too many interactions between the myriad nutrients in regular food that supplements can't mimic.

4. Protein. Stay away from anything that digests quickly, including protein. Your will burn more arm fat and recover faster from workouts with regular food.

5. Fat blockers. Stay away from anything that blocks the absorption of fat. Dietary fat is critical for the production of arm fat burning hormones in your body. It also helps get more nutrients into your active tissues.

It's not necessary for you to spend tons of money on supplements and sugar pills to get toned arms. The most important step to get you moving in the right direction is to begin eating solid, wholesome food. The slower digestion rate will work wonders for your arms.
