However, the Body and the Mind are a single co-ordinated system and not two different entities. It is clear that the lifestyle of those with a poor diet will make them more susceptible to weight gain or even depression. Diet is something most of us pay little attention to on a day-to-day basis... Other than "going on a diet"!
Our Modern Diet
Modern farming and packaging methods bleach much of the vitamins and minerals out of our food before it reaches our plate. This means even those eating what is considered a good, healthy diet won't be receiving the nutrients they expect - or that their bodies need. Scientific tests have also proved that many of the "conditions of the Mind" are made worse by poor diet or chemical imbalances within the body. For instance, the vast majority of people prone to depression are lacking in tryptophan and those trying to lose weight tend to benefit from chromium.
Dietary Supplements
Significant improvements can be made by taking the right mineral and vitamin supplements needed to rebalance the body. What's more, these bodily improvements both underpin and help maintain those improvements made through hypnosis and NLP. What's more, nature has remedies for some common conditions immediately to hand: St John's Wort, Valerian or 5-HTP improve the mood by naturally boosting the production of serotonin (the brain's major "happy" chemical) and Green tea has been proven to help raise the metabolism and so the burning of calories.

And nutritional advice is not restricted to the Weight Management Programme alone - for example did you know that if you smoke more than 20 cigarettes a day your body is unable to absorb all the vitamin B it needs to function properly? This means even if you ARE eating the recommended 5 portions of fruit or veg a day, you're STILL not getting all you need.
